- New procedures due to activation of the Schengen Area also on the international airports   (20th April 2006)

The Czech Republic entered the Schengen Area in December 2007. De facto, the entrance withdrew the borders with all the neighbouring states. For the international airports, this rule became valid on the 1st of April 2008. In connection with it, new and very benevolent procedures of international arrivals from and departures to LKMH came in force. For more information see Airport information.
